Offshore pipeline to cost $550 million

Italy's Edison S.p.A. has estimated that the offshore gas pipeline providing the European Union with natural gas from the Caspian region will cost approximately $550 mil. Most of the gas supply will come from Azerbaijan through Turkey and Greece. The cost of the project will be split between Edison and Greece's state-owned DEPA.
