Oh what a miserable life
Article Abstract:
The Japanese insurance industry is not likely to receive government support as policymakers are at a loss on how to deal with the sorry state of Japanese insurers. The Japanese insurance industry is one of the largest in the world and the recent economic troubles of the country directly affected the insurance industry. One insurance company has already closed because of slow economic activity and it seems unlikely that it will not be followed by others.

The German insurance firm Allianz entered the Central European insurance market in 1990. In Hungary, it purchased Hungaria Biztosito, but in the Czech Republic it could not acquire an established firm so it created a startup. Hungaria has faltered, while the Czech firm has flourished.
