Arcelor S.A. of France is valiantly fending off a hostile merger bid by Mittal Steel Co. The executive of the French steelmaker is meeting on Sunday to decide whether to accept the bid or to follow the strategy of Chief Executive Guy Dolle, to merge with OAO Severstal of Russia.
