On evaluating the performance of 'wide-band' GDSS's
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine alternative methods for evaluating the performance of Group Decision Support Systems (GDSS). Evaluations based on unambiguous success criteria may provide more realistic results. Among the issues that have to be considered in formulating alternative approaches are the objectives of the system, the importance of the consultant-client relationship, the necessity of managing the past and future of a group, the roles of decision models and a theoretical framework, the duration of the intervention and use of GDSS to support negotiation towards decision-making.
