PF Allianz becomes young
Article Abstract:
Penzijni fond Allianz (PZ Allianz) (Prague, Czech Republic), pension fund, saw a profit of CEK 56.2 mil in 2000. A total of CEK 2.8 mil of the profit will be transferred to PZ Allianz's reserve fund, CEK 1.7 mil will remain retained and CEK 51.7 mil will be added to the revenues of the fund's clients. Currently, the fund has more than 103,000 insured clients and controls assets worth CEK 1.7 bil. It arranged 32,047 new contracts in 2000. The average age of the fund's clients is 42 years. PF Allianz is wholly owned by Allianz Pojistovna (Czech Republic).

Diamo saw a loss in 2000
Article Abstract:
Diamo (Straz pod Ralskem, Czech Republic), uranium company, saw a loss of CEK 214.3 mil in 2000. Its 1999 loss was one-third bigger. In 2000 Diamo lowered its costs to CEK 2.8 bil, 20% compared to CEK 3.6 bil in 1999. Diamo, which is involved mainly in the chemical extraction of uranium, has been in a damping process since the 1990s. The company has to resolve primarily environmental damages caused by the extraction that has lasted for several decades.
