PFC to pay for Antigua growth
Article Abstract:
The first phase of the expansion and modernization of VC Bird International Airport in Antigua is financed by local sources and a Kuwaiti fund. The $14-million project, which is nearing completion as of Feb 2001, includes the building of a new taxi way, refurbishment of airfield lighting and installation of new approach lights. The next phase will include the construction of a new arrivals building, further taxiway apron expansion and the acquisition of pushback tugs.

Kuwait International to benefit from IT upgrade
Article Abstract:
Kuwait International Airport is expected to benefit from a five-year integration contract signed between Kuwait Airways and communications company, SITA, to upgrade information technology facilities at the airport. The project includes supply of hardware and local area network infrastructure to support 60 new check-in positions used by over 30 airlines.
