Article Abstract:
A huge project to create a new 2.1 km walkway linking Penarth and Cardiff Bay by Patel Taylor along the coast from the Welsh capital is likely to be abandoned on the basis of its design quality. The project costing pounds sterling 13.5 million is being replaced with a design-and-build contract that is preferred because of its short timescale.

Stockport in masterplan furore

James Holyoak, the winner of a competition to master plan stockport's town center has condemned the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council for dropping his designs without informing him. However, the council approached him after the competition and provided him an opportunity to work with them.
