Pelagic factory back in business - with new freezing and packing
Article Abstract:
The restart of Faroe Island based Kollafjordur Pelagic factory is discussed. The factory failed to succeed in initial production and its then owner the Dutch company Kloosterboer declined to inject additional funds. The factory was then taken over by a group of fishing vessels owners from the islands, a bank, an insurance company and an investment fund. The new freezing and packing system installed by the new owners are discussed.
