Pie in the sky
Article Abstract:
Space tourism has been discussed in Washington by investors, entrepreneurs from the aerospace industry, legislators and others. The cost of space travel could drop and the number of passengers could rise to a million in the 30 years from 1999. A survey found some 33% of Americans interested in space tourism, with 40% of those interested prepared to pay over $5,000. There is no reliable resuable launch vehicle, so space tourism is not an immediate possibility.
