Plan to re-flag jv tuna longliners
Article Abstract:
After an observer had to be rescued off a Korean-owned longliner, the South African fishing industry is calling for a ban on foreign-owned tuna ships fishing in South African waters. The observer photographed the longliner finning sharks. Finning sharks is banned in South Africa. Other permit contraventions by foreign fishing vessels are also mentioned.
