Elektrim holders question cellular pact
Article Abstract:
Elektrim, Poland's largest industrial company, is coming under fire from shareholders following the release of a letter describing management's attempt to divest itself of a cellular services telephone company. The 1996 letter describes how Elektrim was prepared to sell its intin Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa for an extremely low cost. Shareholders are seeking to replace upper management, who they feel have not provided adequate justification for witholding knowledge of the potential divestment.
