Polish Kruszwica's IPO
Article Abstract:
The Polish government offered 1,650,000 shares in edible oil producer Kruszwica, representing 25% of the company's overall shares. It succeeded in selling only 1,265,580, or 19.2% of the company, raising $11.1 million. The company's employees and any farmers with long-term delivery deals with the company will each receive up to 15% of the shares free of charge, with a 5% stake to be retained by the treasury. A further 40% is to be made available shortly through a trade sale.

Polish MPP firmly set with cement offers
Article Abstract:
Recent activity by Poland's 15 National Investment Funds, which together hold 60% of the shares in companies participating in the Mass Privatisation Programme (MPP), included the trade sales of stakes in four cement plants. Turkish concern Rumeli purchased 60% of the shares in Nowa Huta, the 10th-largest cement plant in Poland, in two stages, while Dyckerhoff purchased 60% of the shares in the Nowiny cement and lime plant, the fourth-largest in Poland.
