'Post,' 'Globe' spar over circulation claims
Article Abstract:
Canadian newspapers Globe and Mail and the National Post have been trading barbs at each other over their circulation claims. The National Post claims that it has a six-day average paid circulation of 272,778 subscribers. Pres Don Babick even boasted that his newspaper is the market leader in Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Ottawa and Montreal. However, Globe and Mail Pres Phillip Crawley dismissed the claims saying that the truth will come out once the National Post receives its first audit statement from the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
