Potential replacement for Swedish Army's light tanks makes its debut

Hagglunds, in partnership with Swiss Ordnance Enterprise and Celsius, has introduced the prototype CV90120 fire-support vehicle at Eurosatory. The vehicle is being presented as a possible replacement for the Swedish Army's Ikv91 light tanks. The altered CV90 turret, featuring a Swiss Ordnance 120 CTG L50 lightweight 120mm 50-caliber gun with a vertical sliding-block breech, was fixed onto the hull in May 1998. The vehicle is set for static firing trials in December 1998. Moving firing trials involving a fully-integrated fire-control system are set to start during the middle of 1999. The CV90120 weighs 25-tonne gross, with expansion to 27 tonnes. It is powered by a Scania DS14 445kW diesel engine, which gives it a maximum speed of 70 km per hour.

New-for-old heavy ICV concept
Article Abstract:
Mechanology Design Bureau has launched a concept model of the AB14 Goliath infantry combat vehicle at the Special Operations Forces Exhibition which was held in Amman, Jordan in Apr 2000. The company is developing the infantry combat vehicle in conunction with King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau. The vehicle is aimed at utilizing redundant Tariq tank chassis which is being phased out of service by the Jordan Arab Army.

AB13 infantry combat vehicle makes its debut
Article Abstract:
Malyshev of the Ukraine has developed a prototype of an infantry combat (ICV) vehicle conversion of the Tariq tank for Jordan. Designated as AB13, the ICV was developed in collaboration with the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau of Jordan. It is powered by a Ukrainian KhKBD 5TDF 700 hp multi-fuel engine and features new skirting plates, a twin 30-mm turret and revised passenger and engine compartments.
