Article Abstract:
The discovery of apparently genuine diaries of Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels has led to controversy and ownership battles. The Institute of Contemporary History, Francois Genoud and neo-Nazi David Irving all claim ownership. Controversy has risen over Irving's translations for the London Sunday Times.

A sense of nationalism is lacking in Italy, which is a result of its youth as a country and its politically tumultuous history. Italy was not annexed until 1866, and it has been checkered by fascism, communism and political division ever since.
