Defiant Clinton may see Asia tasks left undone
Article Abstract:
The Senate trial awaiting Pres Clinton has raised questions about his ability to pursue his work in Asia. Among these is his policy to improve ties with China which may be put on hold by the upcoming impeachment trial. His participation in international efforts to help struggling Asian economies and improving the global financial system also remains uncertain should the Senate trial continue until Mar 1999.
