Protect your child from skin cancer

Suggestions are presented on how to prevent your children from having too much exposure to the sun's cancer-causing UVB and UVA rays. Suggestions include using a sunscreen with an SPF rating of 15 or more, wearing a hat, and covering up with clothing made from tightly-woven materials that won't let in UV rays.

Outsmart the sun

Over-exposure to the sun can cause sunburn, wrinkles and skin cancer. The sun protection factor (SPF) of sunscreens determines how long a person can stay in the sun without suffering skin damage. Information on choosing sunscreens protective clothing and sunglasses is given.
