Pump up the volume
Article Abstract:
Research on data storage technology at Victoria University of Technology Melbourne, Australia, aims to use all of data storage media rather than just the surface. Physicist, Min Gu, argues that optical techniques previously only used with expensive materials can be used with plastic. Other research has focused on the potential of holograms, and this could be faster than Gu's proposed techniques. Stanford University's Lambertus Hesselink in one researcher in this area.
