Push off, Poles
Article Abstract:
A Polish shipyard called Gdynia may buy two shipyards in Finland. Gdynia has been revitalized by Janusz Szlanta, the company's chief executive, who was able to obtain working capital through his connections. Gdynia has been able to build ships more rapidly and produce larger ships. The acquisition of two shipyards from Kvaerner in Finland would allow the company to enter the passenger ship market, but the Finnish government prefers a local buyer for the yards.
