The ne plus ultra of medicine: doctors are using the properties of ultrasound in some intriguing new ways

Ultrasound is not a clear as other methods of medical imaging, but it can detect movement, does not emit harmful radiation and it is less expensive. Researchers are experimenting with placing medications in plastic bubbles which are inserted in the area needed and then burst with ultrasound.

The cross-country comparisons give depressing statistics for the UK. Britain is the second most polluted country in the EC, also the oldest and least educated. Britons work longer, marry younger and divorce more than the average, but they do enjoy more purchasing power.
