A nonlinear optimization package for long-term hydrothermal coordination
Article Abstract:
A study presents a long-term hydrothermal coordination model to provide the optimal allocation of hydraulic, thermal and nuclear resources of a power utility, considering the company's hydraulic and thermal subsystems. The optimization package implements a real, large-scale and difficult problem, and so it can be considered a good test for new nonlinear optimization solvers.
