Qualitative company performance evaluation: linear discriminant analysis and neural network models
Article Abstract:
A classification model that evaluates the company performance based on qualitative criteria including organizational and managerial variables is presented. The model determines the eligibility of the firm to receive state subsidies for high-tech product development. In addition, a similar model was developed employing backpropagation learning algorithm and its classification performance was compared against the linear model. The robustness of the classification power of both models is evaluated.

Reinforcement learning in neurofuzzy traffic signal control
Article Abstract:
Research describing learning reinforcement in neurofuzzy traffic signal control is presented. In neurofuzzy traffic signal control, the fuzzy controller is adapted by a neural network. Reinforcement learning is the learning algorithm of this network.
