Quality and the diffusion of innovations
Article Abstract:
The problem of optimal control of products diffusion by quality was assessed though an analysis of a monopolistic company. Assessment of the problem involved consideration of two hypothesis with the first suggesting a negative incentive for a company to generate more quality and the second suggesting a negative influence on price premium of product aging. It was concluded that attainment of high product quality under monopolistic competition requires an inverse evolution in relation to diffusion speed.
