Quality of life
Article Abstract:
The handling qualities of helicopters are affected by several parameters. These include the helicopter's stability and control characteristics, the pilot, the task and environmental conditions and visual cues. The results of flight and simulation tests by the UK' Defence Evaluation and Research Agency showed that the handling qualities of helicopters rapidly deteriorates as the pilot attempts to exploit the full performance of the aircraft.

Article Abstract:
The crashworthiness of helicopters can be analyzed by using power computers that can perform complex finite element (FE) analysis calculations at high speed. FE analysis, which is usually used in metal aircraft design is increasingly being applied in structural analysis of composites. DLR in Germany and ONERA in France have already successfully applied FE analysis to study the mechanical properties of composite material helicopters.
