RUSSIA: AUSTRIAN S & T, TECHNOSERV IN JV

Vienna-based computer trader S & T has set up a joint venture with Russian TechnoServ Group. The Austrian company holds 51% of the stock of the new company that is capitalised at Sch 6.9mn. S & T expects that with 2-3 medium-sized contracts, the new company would break even in year 2000. S & T, which is already represented in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Yugoslavia, generated a turnover of Sch 440mn in 1998.
