Rank-based statistical procedures in analytic hierarchy process
Article Abstract:
Analytic hierarchy process contextual statistical methods for testing relevant hypotheses reveal that the resulting rank-based pairwise comparison data are only asymptotically valid. The study reveals that there is empirical evidence that moderate numbers of judgement matrices available for each group of individuals may yield the asymptotical theory valid. The study also takes into account the establishment of a particular order of alternatives in a homogeneous group of individuals.

Probabilistic judgements specified partially in the Analytic Hierarchy Process
Article Abstract:
A new approach was created to obtain and synthesize expert assessments involving the analytic hierarchy process' group decision process. The approach, which is viewed as partial probabilistic specifications of pairwise comparisons matrices' entries, permits the creation of as many pairwise comparison matrices of the decision alternatives as possible. Such benefit makes the approach effective in identifying the statistical importance of decision alternatives' priorities.

A simulation approach for handling uncertainty in the analytic hierarchy process
Article Abstract:
A simulation approach was employed to address a decision making problem associated with uncertainties of analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The simulation approach deals with AHP's uncertainties involving future characteristics of the decision making environment and the decision making judgement on every pairwise comparison. Consideration of two types of uncertainty was proven to be effective in achieving realistic outcomes.
