Raytheon posts strong earnings

Raytheon Aircraft Co. of the United States posted an increase by 32 percent in fourth quarter earnings to $365 million from $276 million last year. Net sales increased to $5.72 billion from $5.12 billion last year. The defense contractor is planning the sale of its aircraft unit in the first half of 2007 for $3.3 billion.

General Dynamics net soars 84% amid strength at all of its units
