A descriotion of the German town of Dessau is Presented, with focus on the town's architectural design. Attention is paid to the town's pessimistic look, its deserted car parks, its simple housing blocks, and its unchanged structures for seventy five years.

'Recession' belies the truth extent of this economic schizophrenia

Recession describes the state of powerlessness in any economy, and architecture is one of the first, discipline to be struck down, should the economy be in a state of recession. Due to this phenomenon everything that the order of the modern era made possible can now be seen to be at risk, right from oragnised technological innovation to the survival of independent professional status itself.
