Regus, consortium target Asia and U.S

Regus Business Centers PLC of London, United Kingdom, will expand its operations of providing fully furnished offices with staff support into the US and Asian markets with a $100-million investment from a consortium of investors led by Bankers Trust New York Corp. units. Mark Dixon, Regus' founder, chairman and majority owner, said that the company intends to put up 10 to 15 Regus Business Centers initially in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, Japan, and up to 150 centers in the region. The group of investors likewise include the Bankers Trust units BT Alex Brown, Inc. and BT Capital Partners, real estate fund Apollo Real Estate and Apollo's European affiliate, Pelham Partners Ltd.
