Road users welcome the sound of silence
Article Abstract:
The introduction of 'whisper concrete' to UK roads should help reduce traffic noise. The A449 rehabilitation project in South Wales is one scheme which is using whisper concrete after successful trials on other busy roads. The government's Highways Agency has endorsed the product as a useful alternative to concrete.
