How China's savers support state companies
Article Abstract:
The Chinese government is implementing a crackdown on underground loan markets to protect its state banks. The underground loan markets developed because of distorted policies in China's financial systems. The government should restructure the country's financial system, particularly policies on loan quotas, interest rate and price caps. This restructuring would prevent the proliferation of the illegal financial sector and increase the efficiency of the country's financial systems.
