Rome utility ready for the market
Article Abstract:
Azienda Communale Energia e Ambiente (ACEA), the electricity and water utility for Rome, Italy, is set to become a joint stock corporation. It will probably begin operating on this basis at the beginning of 1997. The change in status will give ACEA greater opportunities for agreements, share exchanges and joint ventures with other Italian and foreign concerns, and will lead to improved efficiency and service levels.
