Rosneft profit leaps after deal; Lukoil net rises

OAO Lukoil of Russia posted a soaring 52 percent increase in net profit for 2005 to $6.44 billion, compared with $4.25 billion in 2004. Rosneft of Russia also posted stellar net profit for 2005 of $4.16 billion, compared with $837 million in 2004. Revenues were buoyed by high petroleum prices.

Lukoil's profit increases 43% on higher oil prices, volumes

OAO Lukoil of Russia posted soaring first quarter net profit, up 43 percent to $1.69 billion from $1.18 billion last year. Revenue increases were due to higher volumes in petroleum production, increased refining charges and higher petroleum prices.
