Preference modelling by estimating local utility functions for multiobjective optimization
Article Abstract:
A multiobjective decision-making approach based on the interactive step trade-off method, which derives subsets of efficient solutions, and a search for the best compromise solutions is introduced. The procedure, which identifies and weeds out unacceptable solutions during the search process, employs goal programming models of a decision maker's preference responses for evaluating linear local utility functions.
