SABMiller PLC is in talks with executive Ian Molson and Onex Corp. to arrange a possible joint offer to acquire Canada's Molson Companies Inc. Though the deal would greatly increase SABMiller's share of the Canadian market, the British brewery must first contend with a tie-up already in the works between Molson and U.S.'s Adolf Coors Co.

Interbrew acquires majority control of Russian affiliate
