Silverline Industries Ltd, a software company of Mumbai, is seeking more strategic alliances in the US. It has recently tied- up a strategic alliance with Platinum Technology Inc of the US. Silverline Industries will be working with the professional services division of Platinum Technology and expects to generate a turnover of Rs35 crore in 1999 from the tie-up. Silverline has also recently acquired the Lorain Group of the US which has given it a leverage in the American financial services industry. (khr)

PTC TO SUB-CONTRACT DATA CONVERSION WORK TO INDIAN COS
Article Abstract:
Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) of the US is thinking of sub-contracting its global data conversion projects to Indian software companies. The company is negotiating with Pentafour Software, Satyam Computers, DSQ Software and Patni Computers among others to provide data conversion. PTC says that the reason for targeting Indian companies is the reduced cost and the time difference which permits work to be done around the clock. (khr)

Hewlett-Packard is negotiating with Wipro to bundle its OpenView desktop administrator package with Wipro's SuperGenius brand of desktop systems. One range of Wipro SuperGenius is expected to have OpenView as a standard option.
