By launching two new in-house divisions and inducting a new creative director, is planning to put its business on a more even keel and capture a changing market. Of the two new divisions, Saatchi & Saatchi X will focus on in-store solutions and below-the-line marketing services, and Saatchi & Saatchi Retail Response Group will handle quick turnaround assignments like newspaper ads and online banners.

True North Communications has announced its plan to close the Harrod and Mirlin/FCB sister agency, Page 1, by Dec 31, 2000. The closure of the six- month-old Toronto, Ontario-based ad agency is attributed to the loss of two of its three accounts. Page 1 lost its Mead Johnson Canada account to Bensimon.Byrne D'Arcy, while the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts account was lost to FCB.
