Who's not for tax cuts?
Article Abstract:
The US is forecast to have a budget surplus, and there are plans for this to be given back to taxpayers. Some of the surplus is earmarked for Social Security, and the forecasts could be wrong,so there may not be enough for tax cuts after funds have been allocated to Social Security. Republican voters are thought to favor tax cuts, and proposals include a reduction in income tax as well as an end to inheritance tax. Critics argue that tax cuts could lead to an overheated economy, and there is also concern about funds for Medicare.
