Article Abstract:
The inquiry into Newt Gingrich's minor ethic violations and the many charges against Pres Clinton are only the latest of the never-ending scandals in US politics. The continuous exposure actually prevents deep corruption existent in some countries. The real scandal is the legal buying of politicians.

The First Lady has been under attack by Republicans investigating alleged wrongdoings. Democratic and Republican Whitewater investigation results are so different that partisan politics obviously dominate the debate. The 1996 presidential elections are also discussed.
