RFAC rejects revised scheme for The Scotsman's new HQ
Article Abstract:
The Royal Fine Art Commission for Scotland is expressing continuing concern about plans by The Scotsman newspaper to move to a new building in the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland. The commission believes that the planned three-storey building should not occupy one of the most significant sites in the city. There is also concern that planning problems may encourage the newspaper to move to a site outside Edinburgh, a development which the city council is keen to prevent.

Prince's architecture school 'to drop recognition quest'
Article Abstract:
The Prince of Wales's Institute is expected to cease operating a recognised school of architecture, as one of a number of changes by new director Richard Hodges. The changes aim to bring the institute more into line with the original aims of the Prince, and will mean a move to a new, more accessible site, the introduction of more part time courses, increased focus on 'out-reach projects' and a wider range of course subjects.
