75m pounds sterling proposal for Hyde Park Millennium Promenade
Article Abstract:
The Millennium Commission is currently considering whether Lottery funding should be allocated to a scheme to sink part of Park Lane in London, England, into a tunnel, thus forming a pedestrian link between Mayfair and Hyde Park. The plan, submitted by Grosvenor Estate, would cost 75 million pounds sterling. Westminster City Council has expressed concern about the design of the scheme and its likely impact on traffic.
