Securicor, Deutsche Post form parcel joint venture

Deutsche Post AG and Securicor PLC will be creating a new joint venture on the distribution of parcel. The planned joint-venture operation will handle business-parcel distribution from the network in Europe of Deutsche Post to Ireland, UK, and the United Kingdom. The creation of the joint venture will require Deutsche Post to assume 50% of the external debt of Securicor and to pay a cash amount of 200 million pounds sterling in exchange for half of Securicor's distribution unit.
