Share nonsense
Article Abstract:
Stock buybacks are common in the US, but European governments tend to deter companies from carrying them out. This can be damaging to the economy. Buybacks are useful as corporate finance tools and can reduce capital costs. They also help employee stock ownership schemes. European companies are often involved in complex interlocking stakes which bring conflicts of interest, and stock buybacks can help unravel these links, boosting stock market liquidity andproviding more clarity of purpose.

A great British nonsense
Article Abstract:
The oath of allegiance to the Queen which all UK MPs must swear is outdated and harmful because it makes some otherwise honourable MPs lie. The oath has become a political issue because of the case of four Sinn Fein MPs, who are not allowed to take their seats because they refuse to take the oath.

More nuclear nonsense
Article Abstract:
It would be a mistake to allow British Nuclear Fuels' Thermal Oxide Reprocessing Plant to start operating. While it seemed to be economically viable when it was first conceived in 1977, subsequent events have severely limited its usefulness.
