Glass fiber yarn can be used for many different applications. The major fabrics which can be woven from glass fiber yarn are non-inflammable furnishing fabrics, electroplating textiles and industrial textiles. Sulzer AG produces machines for weaving glass fiber yarn. Sulzer's weft insertion product line, composed of projectile, rapier and air-jet weaving machines are all capable of producing fabrics from glass fiber yarns.
