Smaller cars, bigger profits? European cars
Article Abstract:
Swatch and Mercedes-Benz teamed up and have produced a tiny car that is supposed to pollute less and be more practical for city driving. Aimed at couples and priced at $12,500, the car's success is questionable. Ford, Volkswagen, General Motors and Range Rover have models coming out as well.

Chief executives in two of Germany's biggest automakers, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, may soon find themselves out of work. Volkswagen's Jose Ignacio Lopez is being sued by former employer General Motors, and Mercedes-Benz's Helmut Werner could be the victim of reorganization.
