Crossing the great divide
Article Abstract:
The difficulty encountered by many individuals and their families who are assigned to another country on a regular basis has been recognized by two Swiss psychologists. They conduct a course for foreigners to help them cope with the cultural and emotional stress of living away from home and the familiar supportive community where they were brought up. The program, known as 'Bridging Cultures' is conducted in English and has, so far, been successful.
