Article Abstract:
Airservices Australia has announced plans to conduct trials for the new Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system on small aircraft. The trial will begin early in 2002 and will initially involve 17 commuter and air taxi aircraft in the Bundaberg/Burnett River Basin region of eastern Australia. The main objective of the trial is to determine whether ADS-B can provide radar-like separations in areas not under full radar coverage.

Article Abstract:
Augier, a French lighting specialist, has received an order for 60 constant current regulators to upgrade Barcelona's two runways from Category II to Category III landing capability. Augier is supplying part of an integrated package that includes ground lighting, isolating transformer and guidance panel. The company also supplies its lighting and monitoring equipment to Landvisiau Air Base in northwest France.
