Spain makes most of bluefin
Article Abstract:
Bluefin tuna caught in the Mediterranean by p urse seiners are put in cages for flattening for several months. The demand for such flattened bluefin tuna is great in Japan due to its oil content. But the stock in the Mediterranean is fast depleting according to surveys conducted by International Commission for the C onservation of Atlantic Tunas and thus efforts are being made to develop guidelines for sustainable tuna farming.
