Article Abstract:
A 'strictly private and confidential' memo sent to Daily Telegraph staff in February 2005 outlined five criteria on which their performance and hence their status in the compulsory redundancy hierarchy would be judged. The five criterias included approach to work, knowledge and skill, flexibility, teamwork and quality of work, which serve to illustrate the madness of management by formula.
