Spanish freezer heads north - to start trawling Norway-style
Article Abstract:
Monte Meixueiro is a fillet freezing, saltfish and loligo squid factory ship built by Vigo based Astilleros M. Cies. This fishing vessel combines both Spanish and Norwegian features. It started its fishing activities in the northern seas from May 10, 2005. The design and construction of the fishing vessel and the equipment and supplies installed therein are described.

Norway-built fillet freezer sails off to New Zealand: Second factory ship in deal between Volstad and Sealord
Article Abstract:
The Paerangi, a 71.5 meter stern trawler built by Slipen Mekaniske A/S for Volstad Shipping A/S, will be operating in New Zealand through a deal with Sealord New Zealand. Volstad and Sealord also have another deal, in which the Kiwa factory ship is operating from New Zealand.
